One of the two main reasons for moving too Riverwest was one, to move in with my partner Matt and two, to raise my children in a more open-minded diverse community. I love that Riverwest has such a beautiful mix of people.  There is such a great LGBT community here. I am thrilled to say that I live here and have a lot of gay neighbors.

I love that I can show my kids the normality of children having two moms or two dads or just being LGBT. That it's no different between them having a dad and mom.  It's very important to raise my children to ignore what society tells them about how it's wrong to have two moms or two dads.

I'm so sad that my friends who are LGBT can have the same right I do as a heterosexual woman to marry my partner. I just don't see why our government doesn't acknowledge that LGBT also have long term monogamous relationships. They are no different in how they live their lives than I do. They just have the same sex for a partner. They bleed like me, they cry like me and breathe like me. Just because they are attracted to the same sex they can not have the same rights as I do as a heterosexual.  I will never understand it or accept it. I am proud to show my love and support of the LGBT community.
