Through alot of heartache and tears, we found each other. Through the dark corners of our hearts we found each other. I learned that when you sit patiently and wait, the right person will be sent to you. Through all the bad and beyond all the good, Kenya loves me for me. Everyday I catch myself just looking at her and my heart is full. We have a son together who fills our lives and brings joy to our days. Sometimes people are so nice and kind hearted until the find out that we are lesbians. Then they treat us as if we have a disease or something. I just look at them and shake my head. Truly I do not understand what the problem is. We all are the same. Just because my orientation is not like yours, I am still the same person with the same heart. I just want the world to become a better place where we can be accepted by all. LGBT communities do help though. Being around people like ourselves makes everything worthwhile. Our friends and family are wonderful. Kenya is very smart and talented. She works twelve hour shifts at a factory. Vianca is a full time student and just published her first book entitled Trail of Ink. Life is what you make it. And the foundation of our family is God never puts more on you than you can bear. That is why we are so strong as individuals and perfectly matched as partners.
